One of the most important functions in today’s biopharmaceutical industry is patient services. As accessing HCP prescribed medications has become more difficult, the ability of a company to build, design, implement, and run dynamic end-to-end HCP and patient support offerings has become critical to patients successfully starting and staying on therapy.
Communicating and delivering these end-to-end patient support offerings is equally critical.
The role of the Director, NPS Content Design & Standards is to develop content at-scale that is used to educate and deliver NPS reimbursement, financial support, treatment initiation and adherence programs that enable HCPs and patients to start-and-stay on Novartis therapy. This is inclusive of enterprise language harmonization, archetyping content across retail, specialty, and buy-and-bill channels, template creation, building and maintenance of a content knowledge management system, and support of our con-tent approval process.
The Director will ensure development execution of content that is an appropriate blend of harmonization and templates (~80%) and brand configurable unique customization (~20%) for maximum impact. Con-tributing to the vision and ultimately executing the creation of a NPS enterprise brand that represents this critical HCP and patient value and measures our impact on Novartis US trust-and-value.
This role requires a highly collaborative person to efficiently lead work and produce content across multi-ple NPS Centers of Excellence and cross-functional teams, including, but not limited to, Product Teams, Product Strategy, Customer Engagement Center, Marketing, Customer Engagement (Sales), Ethics, Compliance and Legal. High agility to navigate across core US functions is critical. This role will also have two direct reports.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Build sustainable and scalable NPS content capability and standards that enhance NVS reputational measures and meet KPIs
- Design and co-create next-generation enterprise content and standards in partnership with NPS Experience Design team that aligns to program goals and end user behavioral insights and literacy
- Develop harmonized content / modules / templates for NPS program materials as well as NPS content for reference in promotional materials
- Partner with IMO to use content accelerators (e.g., AI) to drive efficiencies and innovation as well as to pull-through NPS branding guidance and elements to NPS product teams
- Manage enterprise third-party agency relationships and deliverables across all program content
- Execute enterprise content performance dashboard to ensure content is driving best experience
- Ensure pull through of standards in partnership with NPS Content Planners to NPS disease area programs
- Drive organizational transformation to enterprise modular model implementing development, launch and adoption across US Innovative Medicines
- Contribute to strategic and tactical planning, cross-leadership collaboration, and resource allocation to align and meet NPS priorities and objectives
Essential Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
Experience:
- 7-10 years of relevant pharmaceutical experience (e.g., across marketing, patient services, market access, field reimbursement, sales training, commercial or patient services operations)
- 5+ Years of Marketing experience
- Agility to strategize and develop enterprise, “above brand”, level vision and direction with ability to translate, lead and execute at brand-configurable tactic level
- Proven ability to deliver quantitative and qualitative business impact
- Experience with digital channels such as social, chat bot, etc.
Desirable Requirements:
- Customer and/or Patient Marketing and/or In-line marketing in Pharmaceuticals, Biotech, Healthcare experience
Legal Disclaimer/Country specific legal requirement: The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $185,500 and $344,500/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/25 through 12/31/25, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
